Nice design mocha pot

I like it, it's by far my favorite design and I have several of them. However, they all work great. If you like this kind of quasi-espresso, I recommend buying this model. Be sure to learn how to use them, there are many reviews and YouTube videos. Unlike home-made mechanical espresso machines, there's nothing wrong with the Moka Pot. I recommend getting a good coffee grinder (the best coffees tend to come in whole beans). If you're on a budget, get a manual coffee grinder for the freshest…

  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Long time

Nice to look at, nice to use.

What other reviewers say. This is my first Moka pot of any kind. I initially set my sights on the legendary Bialetti but turned my back on it due to concerns about its aluminum connection. Stainless steel seemed like the best choice for peace of mind. I got it on sale and I'm glad I stumbled across it at the time. The spout doesn't really spill. It flows in a nice smooth stream. I'm not a coffee drinker and I'm not very scientific in my brewing methods, so I'm still in doubt when it comes to…

Nice and well made

A few months ago our 20 year old Krups espresso machine finally broke. I used an old Cuisinallo coffee maker (no longer in production) with a hob I got from a thrift store, but the replacement gasket never fitted perfectly, causing leaks and clogging issues. I looked at Revain for several days trying to decide what to replace it with. I couldn't find anything that wasn't made in China or Taiwan. I chose LuxHaus which had good reviews and I liked the style. I was disappointed with it because it…

High-quality coffee machine with a beautiful design

A high-quality heirloom that makes great coffee. A pleasure to use and see. Use a finer grind than normal, but less fine than espresso. My local says to ask for the #4 grind. Obviously some of the negative reviews here are not using them properly or don't care about them. It is common among the creators of the caffettiera style for people to raise the temperature too much. Slowly brew coffee on a SMALL FLAME (see photo). The coffee should drip out of the spout slowly and without making a sound.

  • Beautiful thing

Really well made and works well.

Very high quality. I think this is a real Made in Italy Alessi product. The pot and box are well marked (see photo) and unlikely to be a Chinese fake. I have been using espresso machines for 30 years. You are not producing real espresso because the pressure is too low. I have a high end Italian espresso machine so the difference is very clear. That doesn't mean the Alessi 9090 doesn't make good coffee - it does. Alessi produces strong coffee. A 6/3 cup size makes about 8 ounces of strong coffee

Pros
  • Free for educational purposes
Cons
  • Vulgarity

Divide the cost by 20 or 30 years of use - STEAL!

This coffee maker is like no other. No wonder it's in the Design Museum. I would like to highlight a few highlights: 1) It is made in Italy from high quality, durable stainless steel. Read other reviews and find out how many people have owned this product for 20 and 30 years. You have to weigh up whether the (sometimes quite expensive) Chinese competitors have this durability. 2) As this is a classic design that has been around since 1979, replacement parts will always be available. This is…
