Nervous but not sad

I need to replace my old pans and decided to go all out and buy the best ones. I did a lot of research and asked friends who all recommended All Clad. I received my pans about a month ago so can't rate longevity at the moment, although I was nervous there wasn't much of a change in cooking, other foods cook faster due to heat distribution, just slide the clear lids on the pans ordered which I like to use to keep track of veggies etc. Overall very satisfied and will be replacing other pans with…

Great all clad fan but the tri ply pans are terrible

I bought this pan in November 2014 but the core of the rim is broken and has sharp edges on the inner and leave outer shell. So I bought another eight months ago in August 2016. A few months later the same problem appeared. I picked up the pot a few days ago and accidentally cut the back of my thumb on the rim. The attached photo tells about it. When I first bought it, the rim was perfectly flat. I have a large collection of All Clad pans but these Tri-Plys are just awful and I won't be buying…

It's perfect - pots

I don't like anything but the price. It will most likely outlive me, and I'm in my 30s. I've even used it once to quickly chill brewer's yeast with no side effects. This is probably useless information for most people unless you know that this process is extremely unfriendly. The whole pan comes straight off the stove, filled with boiling liquid, into an ice bath. Not good! It conducts heat so well that I find the best results come from cooking on the smallest burner. It's even good on a tiny…

Sturdy, well built but expensive

Durable. Sturdy, well built. I like how large the diameter is compared to other 1 liter pots. Effectively handles high heat from the oven. Cooks evenly. Made in the USA. The slightly large handle is sturdy and can certainly hold more than the weight of a pot (with food), however the handle gets hot when cooking. This pot is great for boiling liquids or making soups/stews for one (maybe two) depending on what you're cooking. Otherwise it's a great pot, just don't pour directly from the pot (see…

Pros
  • Very good value for money
Cons
  • No insurance

I really wanted to love the product.

I really liked the heat distribution. The handles are almost dangerous to use as they don't give me a good grip due to the awkward angle, long and concave design. The rim of the pot is not sealed or rounded for easy pouring (this also allows for nicks on the rim if you tap the rim with a spoon to scrape the spoon). The design of the lid allows condensation to drip anywhere when you lift the lid. Lid handles get VERY, VERY HOT. I find I should use baking soda or a bartender friend EVERY TIME I…

Pros
  • Not cheap but decent
Cons
  • I vaguely remember

Arrived with no lid - All Clad got it right (weeks)

I love the All-Clad brand. I am adding a tiny 1 liter pot to my collection after watching the Bolognese episode of Stanley Tucci's Looking for Italy where the chef cooks frittata in such a pot. The package arrived. The box looks good, it says "cooking pot with lid" on the outside, but inside - just a cooking pot. There is no lid. And, of course, customer support is also available outside of business hours. And of course the website doesn't give me the option to send an email or an SMS. Not…

Quality dropping a bit

All-Clad seems to be a little off in the finishing process. Had to order it twice as the first came with a rough lid and scratched edges. The second popped up and the cover looked a little frosty in finish, oh not the mirror clear brake finish you might expect. I kept this one because it's a minor flaw that I would consider second best selling at top price. I believe that like everything else, we can expect the quality to degrade over time. You've made a name for yourself with a great product…
