Used the filter for four months. It's so clogged that it's practically unusable. In fact, we had to apply so much pressure that we were able to deform our aeropress. We tried different cleaning approaches, e.g. B. Using Blue Dawn to remove coffee grounds. However, we cannot clean it enough for use. We sent three emails asking for a guarantee, but Altura didn't respond.

Received today and just tried it for the first time. The water and coffee mixture went through so quickly I didn't even have time to brew it and I didn't have time to stir the coffee. I didn't even have to use a plunger to push the coffee through the strainer. Just passed. For 9 euros it's not worth returning. I'll just throw it away. Now I will use paper filters.

Despite the negative experiences of others, I was satisfied with my stainless steel sieve. Longevity wasn't an issue, despite using the filter three or four times a day for almost four months. This filter was able to keep even the finest grounds from getting into my coffee and give it that "grainy" texture which have some other filters. It's still not entirely reliable, but works well enough to ensure it doesn't spoil your cup of coffee. Of course, it doesn't hold water in a paper filter either, but it works well enough if you dampen the coffee a bit and let it "bloom" and stick together on the filter before pouring in the remaining water. Despite quality construction and care in delivery, this product was too thick to fit easily between the Aeropress barrel and filter holder and required tremendous pressure to attach securely. We have applied for a return authorization and have been asked to pay postage in order to receive a refund. We will not order a replacement from them.
