Great seller and product! @ Car! @

I use it in my 3D printer to keep the chamber warm. Works well. A 3D printer is perfect if you want to maintain temperature in the chamber, good glue, and a happy customer!

Pros
  • Nice item
Cons
  • Only available in black

Versatile and easy to use

I have used this product on my entire street rod and have had good results. The last use was to protect the paint under the hood from the heat of the manifold. It is easy to process and apply. Looks good too. Just make sure any surfaces you apply it to are cleaned with isopropyl alcohol for permanent adhesion.

Works great for protecting cabinets from oven heat.

The price can't be lower! I've searched everywhere for an alternative brand of heat shield that costs three times as much as this product. I use it on cabinets to keep the heat out of the oven. I need something subtle but effective. This fully meets the requirements! Super fast shipping too.

  • New in my collection

Good material but too thin for my application

I used it on the underside of a Honda VFR1200F seat to mitigate the heat seeping up my ass. This material was very well made with a very good adhesive backing. Unfortunately, this had little to no impact on the warmth felt through the seat. This may be because the substrate material is very thin. So for my application it is a failure.

  • One year trial
Cons
  • Makes me angry

Better than expected

This heat shield was easy to install. With a small cut I was able to wrap it around the corners. I've used it to wrap an air intake tube, but I have a few other projects where I plan to use it. This material sticks well and hopefully won't crack from the heat. I was able to remove part of the backing and start putting it back on. It holds up great so you can cut and shape it without slipping or unraveling. Thanks!

Great heat shield!

Love this thing! I used it to protect the plastic heater/AC fan on a V8 Ford Ranger. This worked very well to prevent the box from melting and warping due to excess heat from the manifolds. My only complaint is that I'd like to see a slightly stronger adhesive if possible. I had a few very small pieces that fell off after a few heat cycles. But only small pieces fell off. Large pieces stayed right where I put them. I recommend this heat protector to everyone.

Great product in the heat shield category

Bought this product to protect the underside of the seat on our ranger, did a great job. It turned out that our car had an overheating problem so the dealer did some work and replaced the parts that melted before we installed this product. The mechanic commented that this was a great part and he could see how it helped protect some of the under seat area. As soon as we got our car back we ordered more of this heat shield and attached it to the underside of the new seat and to the side of the…

Decent sign - Spare parts

For the price this is a worthy product. As a quick test, when it arrived I cut a square out of it and attached it to a spoon. I took the same spoon, then took each with a separate hand by the tip of the handle and held both over the propane stove, about 1 inch from the flame. Eventually the glue on the excess material on the side of the spoon caught fire. But the silver and fiberglass held up well. Even the glue that touched the spoon didn't fail. I doubt you could use it for an exhaust band…

Fit for intended use

Purchased a CBC heat shield to protect surrounding areas (walls with electrical outlets etc.) from high temperature reflective heat when cooking food with a high intensity Benzomatic TS8000 burner Attachment Searteq and runs on Map-Pro gas. Map-Pro gas burns at 3730 degrees Fahrenheit, so even the reflected heat is quite strong. One scenario is to place the food to be sautéed on a cast iron or carbon steel cookware that has been placed on an induction cooktop and brought to a high temperature…
