Broke immediately. Probably user error? I'll order another one and come back. The upgrade of the second one I bought worked great! Watch the video! The speed is reduced to 15 inches per minute and the depth of cut is 0.001 inch.
I use this for CNC softwood and it works great. I've had other wood cutters that dull quickly and I think because aluminum is harder than some woods it lasts longer. With 1/16" bits, you can't bite off more than you can chew no matter what. Slow and steady is best.
Unfortunately this lure, while staying under the prescribed IPM speed, broke on the first dive once it hit the slab I was trying to cut and all that All I had left was a broken lure and a scratched (literally) 6061 aluminum plate. Needless to say, the racquet was a huge disappointment, especially considering it cost close to $28.
