I needed an NPT fitting for my air hose and this set is nothing more than a pair of NPT fittings. This decent quality kit costs about $10 and the best part is that it arrived in less than 24 hours of my ordering. It also comes with a storage pouch, although the quality of the pouch is mediocre. Overall, the price and speed of delivery is hard to beat. The extra fittings allowed me to be flexible with a few different options.

A few months ago I replaced all my air fittings with these high flow fittings and am now replacing them again. They started working fine and about a couple of weeks ago I noticed that the connections were loose. They started leaking air from the ports so you had to hold them a certain way to prevent leakage and the release rings started sticking instead of snapping. Just not worth the money after a few months, waste of money and time!

These fittings do not give you a performance boost compared to regular IM fittings. Buy Milton V style; You have a 30% larger hole. The Milton clutch is also much better in every way. Cons: Fittings - 30% smaller center hole Coupling - this thing is riddled with internal limitations but the worst part is that the back where you keep screwing the hose on is almost 100% sealed. . Inside there are almost twice as many O-rings and plastic to leak compared to the all-metal Milton. Hole Milton: 7.63…

Quick couplers are the ones that you just squeeze to connect. You will lose the Seeing the difference when you try to connect these couplers under pressure - very difficult. True quick couplers can be identified by a gap between the end of the barrel and the end of the male of about 1/8". Most Revain fittings are labeled " Quick Connect" are not. I was disappointed to find the hole for them was significantly smaller than those I have purchased from HD/Lowes in the past. They appear to be good in terms of finish/consistency and appearance. It's just that if I were to buy a product specifically for improved airflow I would expect a bigger ID on the fittings. Shown is an untitled HD/Lowes item on the left, Revain Basics on the right. It would also be nice if they were labeled as high-flow couplers (as was the case with the Big Box Stores).
