There may be a short in the wiring. UNSURE!

It's hard to give a detailed review because I haven't had a chance to use this product once. When I first opened the item, everything seemed normal, but plugging into the switch was overloading my GFI switches, indicating some sort of short in the wiring. I tried using it again, unplugging all other devices from those outlets, and again it flipped the switch. The cable came out of the unit at an angle, so I wanted to check the wiring. However, they use a Phillips-like three-point screw and I…

Really good product! 1.7L is a large volume, heats up fast enough and the price is very cheap, mostly because I bought from these daily deals so it was even cheaper. I have given 5 stars on all criteria but overall I am giving 4 stars for a reason that may be personal and perhaps not even common to most but in my opinion it needs to be addressed. The body is obviously aluminum and the grip is plastic, although I do get an electrostatic shock (soft isn't anything wrong), but it's still fun to…

Very important! in kettles and tea makers

I really appreciate electric kettles because they are convenient, fast and efficient. Because they are so important to me, I didn't hesitate to buy what I thought was the best. That's why I always buy Cuisinart teapots. No complaints about Cuisinart - they are great. I have to replace them about every ten years (I use them a lot). I have had 3 Cuisinart teapots over the years. When it came time to replace the last one I decided to save some money and take a chance and buy a cheaper kettle. I…

Bad design. Better to avoid

This is a poorly designed product with many flaws. I bought this kettle because it's stainless steel and thought it would be a healthier option. However, the product has many disadvantages -1) The body of the kettle gets very hot. The boiler body is not insulated. So if you hold it incorrectly by the handle, you will most likely burn your hand more often than usual. 2) The heated water started to take on a metallic taste after a few uses. 3) The auto shut off sometimes works even though the…

A must for tea lovers

Background: I've always boiled water on the stove. I saw no point in having another device on the countertop. But a trip to the UK in 2019 changed everything. Everywhere we stayed there was a kettle in the room. I was amazed at the speed at which they boiled water. I can make a delicious cup of tea in about 3 minutes. I should have had one. My first attempt at owning a kettle was a glass block from Costco. It was attractive and at the right price. The first and only attempt was a…
