As other reviews have mentioned this does NOT come with the connector used to connect to your pipe. Everything inside is empty except for the PLASTIC switch. I could NOT connect it to my copper pipe coming out of my wall.

Like most. The faucet works great and looks good, but if your pipe sticks out 4 inches there's a good chance the back wall is useless. Why would a manufacturer do that is just plain stupid. If your purchase decision has something to do with the backplate, don't worry.

This product is a deflector only and does not come with an insert that fits over an existing 1/2 inch copper pipe. I couldn't remove the insert from my old divertor without damaging it, so I had to purchase this insert separately (which was hard to find). The product looks good but was difficult to install.

We bought this faucet because our faucet started leaking/splashing A LOT when turning from tub to shower and splashing sideways and all over the place not everywhere when it actually comes out of the shower head. My friend was able to install it very quickly and easily with no prior experience or reliance on plumbing. He was very pleased about that. It fits and works perfectly, doesn't leak or spatter and looks great!

It sounded like an easy DIY project and it was! Replacing the spout completely solved our problems with the changeover! (In our case, the changeover didn't work properly, causing a lot of water to go into the tub instead of the showerhead. Also, there was the occasional squeak or knock.) I bought this fitting because I liked the look of the decorative plate. Unfortunately, the outlet pipe connector length is the standard 4 inch length, and the base plate extends it an additional 1/4 inch, making it too long for a tight thread seal. Without a base, the spout sits great, works well and looks nice. It's just not the look I was hoping for. This setup only works for a new setup or if I can replace the pipe nipple with a custom length.

I don't know why but my local hardware store doesn't have the tools I need to replace my old bath spout. Luckily, Revain does this at a better price than the local shop.
