We received a bracket kit without the spacer/shimmer as shown in the picture in the advert. We then immediately contacted the manufacturing company and asked if they could simply send us the missing parts. We haven't heard from them yet, so we just sent them another request to see if they'll respond to us this time.

These are the best kind of braces. And for anyone complaining that they don't have a template, they can print it out from the AMP website. Wow, try to think outside the box every now and then. 😂😂 And unless you have the mechanical skills to do something as simple as installing a bed extender, maybe you shouldn't own a truck. 🤦‍♂️

After replacing the OEM lever actuator brackets on my 2008 Tundra. twice. at a cost of $50-$60 each time. I was very happy to find this kit which has no arms or springs to break and is available at a significantly lower price. I wonder why Toyota even bothered with lever operated mounts. if they don't make % of replacement sales.

This saved me a lot of money. Found a used OEM Tacoma bed extension for $75 with no mounting hardware. I ordered these and they fit perfectly. Don't worry about matching with Toyota Tacoma. Also comes with a template making it easy to assemble. They are designed to hold the extender in place when the tailgate is closed and latched, making it more difficult for theft. You would have to destroy it quite a bit to remove it.

I ordered these for my 2019 Honda Ridgeline, although I was given instructions, templates and screws to install them I did not have to drill or use templates etc, the mounting holes were pre-drilled. I only had to get six 3mm (I think) stainless steel mounting screws, looks like they came from the factory that way. I took a Nissan Frontier bed extender that I found for $20 and it fits perfectly, all said and done, less than $40 invested!

Instead of one bracket on the passenger and driver's side, I got 2 brackets on the driver's side. I was able to install but due to the two identical sides I have to attach one side to the tailgate at a 45 degree angle and then carefully rotate it 135 degrees to attach the other side. This makes it impossible to load anything that might go off the shelf as I wouldn't be able to put it back in. tl; dr - I have two brackets on the driver's side so I can't fully utilize the gate. Degree.

This original bracket for AMP BedXtender HD is pretty basic. I switched the real Xtender from my previous truck to the new one but didn't remove the brackets so I ordered a replacement set. The previous set appeared to be "harder" in the material - this set actually scratched the material when it scratched the tip of the driver (hence the 4 star rating).
