Description of 🔊 DROK PAM8406 5W+5W Mini Audio Amplifier Board, 2.0 Dual Channel Class D Amp Module for DIY Speaker Sound System, DC 5V Digital Stereo Power Amplify

Parameters: DROK audio amplifier board working voltage is DC 5V, output power is 5W (2Ω 5V)/3W (4Ω 5V) / 1.8W (8Ω 5V). Input method is monaural input. Artificial Material: this New-designed mini power amplifier is made of noble black immersion gold circuit board, imported KEMET speaker capacitor, large-capacity filter capacitor for channels. Besides, we customized black copper terminal blocks and gold-plated audio input terminal blocks for this new amplifier module. High Performance: the digital amplifier module is with high efficiency of over 90%, general harmonic distortion noise is less than 10%, low quiescent current and noise suppression. Safe Protection: the class D dual-channel amp board is designed with input reverse connection protection, short circuit protection, over heat protection; what's more, EMI is allowed to pass. Additional Function: it is available to connect amplifier type to choose different function (MODE: high electricity level is Type D, low electricity level is Type AB. Factory defaults high electricity level); available to add an external Shutdown (SD: the chip will be Shutdown at low electricity level, factory default high electricity level.

3W @4ohms (sort'a) Best in Receivers & Amplifiers

The amplifier arrived well packaged for postage with no traces of flux left on it. A small booklet with further information on setting up the amplifier is included in the box so that the basic setup is done one-to-one. There are additional features on board such as mute and high-low gain settings as well as external mute. The manual does not contain any additional information on how to access these functions. The ad claims it can deliver 3 watts into 4 ohms. This is possible if you calculate…

Small Efficient Amplifier

I purchased a 5w + 5w version of this amp for use with a 32" LCD TV and a pair of 8 ohm unpowered bookshelf speakers. It is powered by the TV's USB port. The input is connected to the headphone output of the TV. As a result, the sound is much better than from the TV's built-in speakers. I was surprised at how loud the speakers can be on this setting. Normal viewing is at about 1/4 volume, but even at full volume the sound doesn't distort much. One star deducted due to lack of EMI protection…

Great DIY amp for audio and DIY repairs

I had a pair of 5 watt powered PC speakers that had an intermittent noise from their internal amplifier. (Known issue with these speakers which are now being discontinued). They were used for a homemade bluetooth alarm/music player. I unplugged the old amp and plugged it in using a USB gauge cable and a phone charger for power. It fits snugly in the speaker. With *proper shielding* this is a quiet, efficient and great sounding amp. The speakers sound better than before. The problem with any amp

output through two speakers; but the signal is monophonic.

Edit: Although I checked the input line with a meter between the input end of the 1/8" stereo cable and the circuit board, it looks like the "Stereo vs Mono" issue described below is a connection issue on the bed. I think the input jack is too far from the outside edge of the amplifier board, which makes it impossible to connect the stereo input properly. I'll desolder the input jack and connect the input directly to the pads - I'll "edit" again if the amplifier board ends up being mono. Left…
