Description of ๐Ÿ”ฌ AmScope SM-1BSX-64S Professional Binocular Stereo Zoom Microscope with LED Ring Light, 3.5X-45X Magnification and 0.7X-4.5X Zoom Objective - Pillar Stand, 110V-240V, WH10x Eyepieces, and Bonus 0.5x Barlow Lens

Professional stereo microscope with pillar stand has long working distance to enable users to perform work or manipulate large items, including circuit boards and dental appliances. Binocular viewing head with pair of 10x super-widefield eyepieces, adjustable interpupillary distance, fixed 45-degree vertical inclination to reduce eye and neck strain, and 360-degree rotation capability to enable sharing. 0.7x-4.5x zoom objective provides continuous zoom magnification and longer focal length for inspecting large-scale specimens, and a 0.5x Barlow lens extends the working distance. Removable rheostat-controlled 64-bulb LED ring light provides intensity control and bright, cool light for working with temperature-sensitive or live specimens. Pillar-style table stand has reversible black and white stage plate to provide contrast with light- and dark-colored specimens, and large stage clips to secure the specimen during viewing.

Can't even be assembled

I've bought these before and while difficult to assemble they worked well and I liked the ring light. Now we bought another one, but the cover on the lenses is not removed. It can be glued as we found drops of glue on the lenses themselves. Now I have to send it back, but a colleague has already thrown away the packaging. mess .

Pros
  • Great price
Cons
  • No performance

Lasted about 4 years

Good scope. It worked for me for about 4 years and now the height adjustment bearings are failing. At first I didn't know where these steel balls came from. Now it's about to fall off the stand and I can see more falling out. The mechanical parts really need to fall apart so I'm a bit disappointed I'll have to buy another one.

Pros
  • Great for a small home
Cons
  • Requires outlet

the microscope is a very good device for the money

In general, the microscope is a very good device for the money. The microscope arrived in a reasonable time. At $300 this is probably the best you can get for the money. However, its performance is not on the same level as Zeiss or Leitz stereo microscopes, which can cost $500-600. It is capable of completing most college-level biology tasks. If you're on a tight budget like me, then you should buy this microscope.

For the price this is an amazing stereo microscope

For this price this is an amazing stereo microscope. I grew up with a Zeiss stereo microscope that my father owned; and now that I want one for myself, I can't afford the $10,000 price tag. However, this AmScope gives me everything I want. I still can't believe it's so cheap. My family and I had a lot of fun viewing flowers and insects. Absolutely amazing - and the 3D effect of the stereo optics changes the world. Thank you!

Pros
  • A sea of positive emotions
Cons
  • Everything is fine

I was concerned that the build quality of this scope would be sub-par compared to the still fairly cheap Celestron I use all the time at work. But I was pleasantly surprised. This is ideal for operating SMT electronics. I am 100% satisfied. It's lighter than even the Celestron, but the focusing mechanism is nice and smooth and the image is sharp. What more could you want from a riflescope in this price range?

Pros
  • Quality build
Cons
  • Negative gift

Big leeway! - Stereo microscopes

Impressive features. Smooth work. Good wide-angle eyepieces with a high viewing point for people who wear glasses. The 0.5 auxiliary lens is ideal for a wider field of view and longer working distance when working with SMT. And the LED ring light is incredibly bright. I've spent over a thousand dollars just for a fiber optic ring light in the past and this LED seems to be better as the bulbs should last much longer than the bulbs used in older light guides. The good thing about ring lights isโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Confident
Cons
  • Good but not great

There is no Amscope or manufacturer label on the microscope. The ring light (which is also sold separately) has been labeled Amscope. I can't tell if I actually received a different brand Amscope microscope and illuminator. I have an amscope at work with the same zoom. The optics seem blurry compared to what I have at work. Otherwise the microscope works as expected - similar (labeled) to the Amscope I have at work. For $255 + taxes via Revain Warehouse seemed like a really good deal but theโ€ฆ
