    Works well for tube fittings

I had a strange situation where I needed to hook up a shower water softener and an existing shower. This is the correct solution. Aesthetically it's a silly looking setup, but nothing to complain about when it works. I wish there was a plastic version of this but so far it has worked flawlessly, no stains and still looks good.

    Pros
    • Operating temperature range -53 to 121 degrees C (-65 to 250 degrees F)
    Cons
    • Expensive

    Good fluid path, good fit

This is the only 3/8" elbow I've used with a full 7/16" fluid path have found. If you're a differential nut and need this type of elbow, buy these instead of Dixons or other extrusion-based ones - preferably via the fittings I've found. Yarn quality is good. The only bad thing is that Anderson didn't have anyone to answer my simple question about their size and they obviously can't afford to post a CAD on their website like everyone else so I had to buy them to find out for myself.

    Pros
    • Meets ASTM B584 and ASME/ANSI B16 requirements for quality assurance
    Cons
    • Price for a piggy bank

I don't believe this is a National Pipe Taper (NPT) thread

National Pipe Thread Taper (NPT) is the US standard for tapered threads used on pipe and fittings with thread are used. National Pipe Thread (NPT) threads are slightly tapered, meaning the threads get larger as you screw them in. This ensures an airtight fit. It tightens as you twist it. These threads are straight. I installed this in my workshop air compressor lines and can only fit 3 threads to any other NTP fitting. I've even tried a few other connectors that I know are 3/8 NTP. That tells…

    Pros
    • Forged brass for corrosion resistance, high temperature ductility and durability
