Don't be lazy like me, get real test kits instead.

At first I liked her. But I couldn't figure out why my aquarium kept having "high" ammonia levels. I bought these out of convenience, tired of using actual kits. After about 2 weeks of testing my ammonia and using an ammonia sluice, changing a ton of water and restarting my tank over and over again because I couldn't figure out why my ammonia was so high, I thought maybe it was the streaks. I pulled out my old tester and indeed everything in my tank was fine. I was so angry. I think you can'tโ€ฆ

Precision and simplicity

Many testers of this product initially claim that the strips are defective because some of the pads already have paint. FLASH NEWS - that's the way it should be. When tested with the new liquid API kits, these strips were as accurate as liquids for the same parameters. If you don't get the same results, check the expiration date on your fluid kits or buy new ones. They're great for testing between times you plan to use your fluid kit, and they're a lot less of a hassle and messy. I would stillโ€ฆ

Attention beginners, this is not an ammonia test.

What can I say? I was a beginner when I first bought it, until I did a little research and bought an actual test kit the next day. When I compared the results from these strips to my main test set, I was surprised at how inaccurate these strips were. The results were a total mess, not to mention missing the most important test for fish farmers. AMMONIA! But to be honest I could have received a defective batch and if so they were easy to use without cleaning. . Just test and discard. If you're a

Do you have a fighting fish?

My 12 year old son wanted an aquarium so we bought him a 2.5 gallon tail tank. this water test strip together with water conditioner. He uses a water conditioner every time he changes the water and then uses this strip to test the water for pH, nitrite, nitrate, carbonate and total water hardness. It's been 4 months since we bought the Betta and the fish are still doing fine and looking happy and healthy thanks to the water conditioner and this test strip. 5 out of 5 stars. Definitely recommend

fake lies. You don't measure anything.

I'm not sure if these test strips actually show anything. I did a little test with three cups of water from a variety of sources: Cup 1: Pure tap water. Literally water straight from the tap. No added dechlorinator or conditioner. Glass 2: Water straight from the tank. I submerged the cup before changing the water. Reservoir installed and no problem as far as I know (but not sure what the actual settings are as I don't think these strips control anything) Cup 3: old water in the settling tankโ€ฆ

Warning: They are inaccurate and not accurate!

I bought these hoping they would help me keep track of my water. The readings were crazy, did it 3 times. I took a water sample to a local fish shop and they did a full panel reading for me while I waited 45 minutes. These strips said the pH of my water was above 7.0 when in fact it was below 5.0. That's a huge difference. All other readings were also inaccurate and very, very far from the truth. Worse, I ran a few more tests with these strips over the next two weeks just to see and each time I

Don't waste your money, these tests don't work at all

Wow. I've always heard they were inaccurate, but now I know exactly how bad they are. Not sure if they have expired but the badge is valid until 05/2021 so I doubt it. Followed the instructions to T and got the same results twice. Both tests showed my pH as 6.0 which I checked and monitored daily at 7.5 for my fancy goldfish. I used my liquid pH test from the API Master Kit which I used regularly and of course still at 7.5. The stripes literally didn't change before or after the dive. Nitritesโ€ฆ
