My Silverado's CD tray is moved back a bit in the dashboard to allow the screw to be tightened without pressing the CD eject button. I had to grind the 3 point grip to a circle and now it fits perfectly.When you tighten the grip the flat plastic pieces inside the CD slot separate and press against the top and bottom to secure the holder. I need the holder to be firm holds my Garmin RV 770 LMT-S 7" GPS Navigator which is larger than the Nuvi. Overall happy with my purchase.

Rubbish cheap Chinese goods, I don't know why it has such good reviews. I was happy to receive it, opened it up and installed my Garmin GPS. He refused and didn't stay where he was. The ball is not the right size and there is no way to adjust the friction. I put tape on it to keep it in place but the GPS keeps falling off the mount. I hope the screen won't break if dropped. I had to wrap the cable around my old dash mount to keep it from falling on the floor. I do NOT recommend.

Works great, but note two things. First, my Nuvi hides the radio's digital display (which is what I expected when I ordered the mount). I can still reach the preset buttons and know which station is which. The only thing I lose is knowing what song is playing. I have Shazam on my phone in case I absolutely need to know. The sphere is a bit too small, causing the GPS module to slip into position at the slightest vibration of the car. But the gadget sticks so well in the CD player that I was dying to use it, so I tore off a piece of paper, wrapped it around the ball and taped my GPS to it, and now it sticks even on bumpy roads. Does the job but I have doubts about its reliability. We are so concerned that our GPS model will fit that no one is looking the other side. The ledge on the holder that goes into the CD slot is a straight edge, but my CD player has a slight curve, just enough for a good portion of the ledge to stick out of the player. I ordered a mount for my Garmin Nuvi 265W. The delivery was very quick and I had no trouble snapping the mount into place. I installed on the bracket. Everything looks good. I tried this mount by inserting it into a CD player and tightening the nut. The bracket is tight in the CD player because the nut pushes the center piece up and forms a wedge. This mount from aps2car.com places the GPS in a better position than the original Garmin windshield mount. It sits closer to my eyes, sitting in the sweet spot of my zoom goggles and cutting out background glare. It's much easier to view the GPS screen on a darker dashboard.
