Attractive kayak, fairly easy to inflate. The seating area and legroom are tight and getting in and out is difficult. We never tried it on the water, just inflated it in our living room. We sent it back.

This little kayak is adorable. Inflates quickly and is great for those with limited storage space. Just a couple of issues: (1) The included nozzles didn't fit - I use the ones that came with the pump (sold separately) and they were fine. (2) If you have wide hips (even for a relatively slim person), you may not be able to fully inflate the kayak. This still works, but you need to find a level of inflation that works for you (and make sure you're inflating both sides evenly!)

You will feel every small wave. Compared to a hard plastic kayak, the Hive has to paddle more to cover the same distance and is a bit more difficult to control. But it's very compact, durable and definitely gets the job done. If you want to relax in calm waters, then this is a great option. I'm 5-10 years old and get leg cramps after 30 minutes, so it's very difficult for me to use this for a long time. Purchasing this kayak was our first step into the world of inflatable kayaks. This is a very stable, well designed kayak. It goes well with a large skeg. I would suggest a longer paddle, at least 230cm. Legroom is a bit tight in the front but there is still room to stow something small.
