The hood now opens when I push the hood latch. Pull the hood about 5-6 inches and these struts will fully open the hood. I give them 4 stars because the end that attaches to the fender is a smaller bolt and ball than the one on the hood of a 2006 Hummer H3. The posts had a larger bolt and ball on either end. I replaced the outlet on the old racks to make them work.

The product is declared for the model range Hummer H3 - 2006-2010. In general, the shock absorbers are good, not like cheap ones that jump up and the hood has to be constantly tightened to open. They work well, as do the original racks installed on my Hummer H3. For some reason the set of bolts in the kit had a larger thread size than stock. Thanks to helpful help and excellent communication with the seller, the problem was solved quickly. We recommend the seller and the product.
