Description of ARB ARB705LB Orange Snatch Recovery

Min. breaking strength: 8,000kg / 17,600 lb Specifically designed to stretch under load for maximum performance, an ARB snatch strap is a very effective method of extracting a bogged or immobilized 4wd when a second vehicle is present. Length: 9m / 30 feet. Width: 60mm / 2 1/8" feet. Material: 100 percent nylon, Elasticity: Stretch (genuine) 20 percent. The kinetic energy generated by the elasticity aids with the recovery itself, while at the same time reducing the likelihood of vehicle damage. Reinforced Eyes. For vehicle recovery, a snatch strap is more suitable than a tow strap. All ARB snatch straps are woven and fabricated to ARB specifications, and tested by a NATA approved laboratory.

High Quality - Tow & Winch Item

Looks like it will help if needed. I haven't had to use it yet, and if everything always goes according to plan, I never will. But peace of mind when the plan goes awry is why I bought it. ARB has an impeccable reputation. The quality is obvious. Will update if I ever need to use it.

Pros
  • Very Good Value
Cons
  • Negative Gift

Recommended waist belt

Bought because it got great reviews on the ToyotaWorld forums at a good price, well made waist belt by a few people who used it and did a lot of off roading. I have a Tacoma 4x4 that weighs about 6,000 pounds loaded. I haven't used it and don't have much experience, so I relied on the advice of those who do.

Pros
  • Annual trial
Cons
  • I vaguely remember

Reliable and strong.

Everyone I ride with has at least one of these. This is one of the most useful rescue tools I own. They are well made and work exactly as advertised, that's all that can be said. FYI, don't use them as straps to pull on stumps or anything like that. The stretching can cause the stump to fly into the back of your vehicle. Only use them in vehicle recovery situations.

Pros
  • Inspires confidence
Cons
  • I'll write later

Grab it and restore it.

These make excellent rip/recovery straps as they are 100% Nylon. Don't use them beyond dash and recovery or you risk ruining them. Use a tow strap for towing. This ARB dash/recovery strap, hitch and accessory hanger, and tow strap are stowed under the back seat of my 4x4 truck. If you're taking the risk with a 4x4 or 4x4, you need this ARB seat belt in your vehicle.

Pros
  • Satisfied so far
Cons
  • Very expensive

Great for getting people out

I managed to use it a few times during a snow storm in Texas. Works perfectly. Enough stretch to avoid a tow strap type whip. I'd like Yankum cords that have more "stretch, bungee" pull, but they're a lot more expensive, so for the price, they're great. Probably takes up more space than ropes in a gear bag. But so far I'm happy with it. We'll see durability, but I don't plan on using it that often except for the occasional emergency.

Pros
  • Hands-free operation
Cons
  • Ugly packaging

Great strap and worked well

I've only used it once so far but it worked great. I was towing an old first gen Tacoma v6 with my 2019 Tacoma Sport 4wd in deep desert sand. I went with £17,000 because the ARB recommends that you use one that is 2-3 times the size of YOUR rig, not the one you are remodeling. I backed off a little and gave moderate throttle and the rig in the picture came out right away. I've heard of some SUVs breaking with prolonged use, but as I only use them occasionally they work great for me and are…

At first impression

Not used yet. I want to clarify that this review is based on my first impression. I bought this Snatch Strap because I have multiple tow straps and need something with some stretch. I bought a 30' 2 3/4" belt for my car. I like the bright orange color and the case acts as a good layer of protection for the belt. Very well made and very durable. I've been looking for this belt for a long time and it Didn't find it. But as soon as I stumbled across it I took advantage and bought it. I think it's…

great strap: exterior accessory

Pulled two trucks out of deep sand today. 1 Rubicon operated by children that did not air. I sat and watched them dig with their hands for a few minutes (they didn't have a shovel either, but hey, they're kids). After showing them how to air and watching them shovel the sand around the tires (with my shovel, and no I don't shovel), I plugged in my truck (2019 Tacoma SUV) and attached the belt to the Rhino shackle hitch (another great product) and got it out with a good pull. Thank you from the…

Pros
  • High test scores for grip and durability
Cons
  • Not as thick as other picks
