This door knocker is unlike anything I've seen before - the design is sharp and attractive. I bought it in bronze and it will be mounted on a dark blue/black gloss front door. Can't wait to paint the door and install the knocker!

I finally installed it, love it! However, one of the supplied screws broke when I was manually screwing it into the door during assembly and I had to unscrew it with pliers. Also the small screw (to remove the hammer and put a second screw in the door) is very fiddly to put back in the hammer with the small key provided. There were some curses but at the end of the day this is a beautiful hammer that looks and feels like it will last for years.

I also bought this item but I didn't report the problem from another buyer who also attached a photo of the "problem". Has. This is a good knocker but the fittings supplied suggest you have a wooden door. They come with 2 screws which if you have a wooden door will hold the door knocker securely. But I have a metal door with foam. The included hardware will not work with a metal door. One way to install a hammer is to drill holes in the door and fasten it from the inside with nuts and bolts. I tried an easier way. I've used hollow door latches and they seem to be holding up well. You can then use the screws that…
