    TRUE PLUG-IN REPLACEMENT - WILL NOT DISAPPOINT

    I'm usually hesitant to buy similar third-party electrical components, e.g. B. "fakes", especially something like a sensor for the camera module that is so important to the overall architecture. But I was so frustrated with how difficult it is to get focus on a standard Raspberry Pi camera module that I decided to give it a go. I'm glad I did. Not only is it much, much easier to focus than the real thing, but the image quality is significantly better - probably due to the higher quality lens in

I was really expecting something better from this product but the unit came with damaged focus or something and wasn't even connected to the module when I received it.     Easy autofocus upgrade to Raspberry Pi Camera

    This camera module is a long-awaited update to the standard Raspberry Pi Camera v2. After replacing the old module, I expected some necessary configuration and settings, but the camera worked right away. The additional autofocus capabilities required some adjustments, but the functionality without additional adjustments was the same as the standard camera module.     Nice auto focus camera for my nest box

    I set up a birding camera with my Raspberry Pi and the default camera was fine, but since it had a fixed focus most of the birds were out of focus. I bought this auto focus camera and with a little programming I was able to improve my shots. Not all birds are fully in focus (they move too fast), but overall they are much better. It took a bit of work getting the hardware and software set up, but nothing too difficult if you've worked with Raspberry Pis in the past.
