Good - and could be better

The ratchet works very well - the narrow angle of the 90 tooth gives a better opportunity to tighten nuts in tight spots. Because it's a ½-inch ratchet, sometimes the large bolts and nuts are so tight that you need a long lever to loosen them—this is an area where the Ares fell short. 3 inches longer would have been a help instead of attaching a piece of pipe to the handle. .

High quality socket wrenches

I use these to work on my BMW and a few friends' cars. Everything has been pretty good so far. One of the aluminum bolts got stuck in the BMW block and we couldn't get hit there, so we used 5ft pipe on a 1/2" ratchet, applying probably 300-400 ft/lbs to it, no warp or mistake. in performance. 4 degrees between the teeth is suitable for screws with limited space. Overall a good set for the money.

Need a great inexpensive ratchet? I recommend this on

So I'm a technician who needed a cheap 1/4 ratchet fill to get my Matco fixed. I've used it a few times I know and for the usual light jobs like battery maintenance, small jobs near the bodywork and even twice using a 24" extension this little ratchet has earned it a place in my toolbox. The only thing I don't like about this tool at this point is the loosen/tighten switch. First, I prefer all my switches to work the same way. Right position to loosen and left to tighten, all my tools work like

Looks very nice but 3/8 jammed on first use.

These are nice ratchets and maybe it was just a mistake but the 3/8 ratchet jammed on first use. I didn't really do anything with it, just unscrewed a few timing belt cover bolts and all of a sudden it just stuck and wouldn't move in any direction. I clamped the chuck in a vise and pulled it slightly towards the ratchet and it came loose. Haven't used it since, maybe it was just a small mistake in breaking and won't happen again. I'll try again over the next few weeks on break and see what…
