LOVE my battery bug!

This allowed me to see that my battery level was slowly declining for some reason. . It was 84% at first, and after a few weeks it dropped to 69%. Bought new batteries, let's see what happens. My car had chronic battery issues so this really saves me. I should never go to a dead battery again. This will beep when levels get too low. At least that's the plan!

Pros
  • Everything is fine!
Cons
  • Some shortcomings

Battery error excellent monitor

A friend recommended this to me so I installed it yesterday. My battery shows 100%, so I'm very satisfied! It was a used 4 year old bike so I didn't know how old the battery was. No, I'm calm! It's easy to install, just loosen the screws on the battery terminals and it has a nice velcro strap to attach it to the battery or just leave it hanging. Perfect for my Goldwing cover. I will probably buy one for my other bike next month!

Pros
  • Elegant design
Cons
  • Negative impression

Good Idea No for Diagnostic, Testing & Gauging Tools

I thought this gauge would be a great way to avoid the surprise of a dead battery. Battery Bug looks like he knows what he's doing. The voltage shown appears to be accurate. However, when my battery got so depleted that I couldn't leave the ignition on for more than 15 minutes without having to jump to start the car, the error still reported a 65% battery health. This renders the main function of the device unusable. I think I need to go back for preventative battery replacement every 2 or 3…

Battery error works on battery tester

Have been using this product for 4 years now. It started squeaking about 6 weeks ago. In this case you must replace the battery. I wanted to be notified when the battery was nearing the end of its life, but I suspected the battery had more life left. I figured I had more time and could squeeze a few more months out of the battery. It's not like the car starts slowly or anything. The car didn't start two days ago. I have no complaints about the battery indicator. He did exactly what he had to…

  • Definitely bad product

good product and company behind it

I have bought 3 (three) of these units and only one is still working properly. The other two give false positives for battery failure, sometimes dropping to 0% health when the battery is healthy. I know this because I replaced a known good monitor and it has been running at 70% or better for the past few weeks. I don't know if I will be returning these two units to Argus or not but I should note that in the past they replaced one for me due to a cracked screen occurring when my hood came down…

Pros
  • Solid construction
Cons
  • No machine

The first was in the trash, the second worked fine and then died.

I really wanted to try this battery monitor because my battery was constantly empty. I was expecting good things from this device based on its 4 star rating but after owning it for about 3 weeks it became unusable. Everything worked fine at first, and after a few days I noticed that several segments on the digital display were not showing. Now, after about 3 weeks, the display has so many skipped segments that it is no longer legible. What a waste of $35! I don't think this device is powerful…

Small quick release

This small and relatively expensive item connects quickly to a standard car battery. Once you connect, a 30-second countdown will begin. Now start your engine and exit the menu to see the battery percentage and charge voltage. The first digit tells you whether you need to charge the battery or start the charging system, and the second digit tells you how well your charging system is working. It recently helped me come out in front of a new 70% charged battery that barely had enough power to…
