🚗 Enhanced Grip for Car Dashboards: ARKON APVHB20 90mm Extra Strength Adhesive Mounting Disk Review

This was received as pictures and appears to still be on my car's dashboard. I have to deal with the summer in Florida if it's still tight. I use it to hang a phone holder on it. If that happens I'll have to find something else and I'll update this review as well. Right now I'm giving it 5 starts.

I bought this to install a Rand McNally GPS in my trailer. It stuck properly to my dashboard and held my GPS for about 2 weeks. The adhesive has come off the disc. When I returned to my truck after the weekend, I found my GPS was on the ground. I was able to erase the disc and stick it back with glue. So far, so good. About once a week, I pull out my GPS and hit the dial to make sure it doesn't get stuck.

I thought this would be the ultimate solution for my dash mounts. Unfortunately, after a full three years, the adhesive on the side of the disc tore and my iPhone and its mount fell onto the floor of the car. Luckily the mount had a self-adhesive suction cup so I was able to securely reattach it for now. I don't think it's worth $10 for a drive that lasts three years, after which I have to buy adhesive pads to reinstall the drive.

I ordered two of these. You stick and hold on. The second was without an alcohol pad and was applied with no prior surface preparation. As a result, the second almost does not stick. This is a great product when supplied as a complete kit. The adhesive also doesn't like to let go of the protective film. I had to tape a nail file from my key cutters underneath this sheet in order for this sheet to detach and expose the double sided foam tape.

GARBAGE! Nothing sticks to it, except of course the tape that sticks to the dashboard! If I could give him NEGATIVE FEEDBACK I would! I bought it, installed it on my truck's dashboard, wanted to put a suction cup on it and the suction cup wouldn't stick to it. I try the second suction cup, again the suction cup doesn't stick to it. I got a suction cup for my Go Pro camera and it didn't stick to it. That's the base for the suction cup and nothing sticks? Absolute waste of time and money. And now

I bought an Arkon adhesive disc to stick on car dashboard to fix Samsung Note 7 car mount. She always stuck to the Arkon disc. This is a big plus. CONS: Unfortunately, the Arkon disc didn't stick to the dashboard of my car after the first 30 or so days. Yes, I cleared my car's dashboard area for installation prior to installing the screen. Yes, I chose a relatively flat spot on the dashboard. Therefore, "external" factors should not have negatively impacted the drive's ability to stay attached…

I live in the northern Great Plains where the summers are hot as hell and the winters are some of the coldest on earth, and this auto mounting plate has lasted three full years! I've tried two other brands before (both used 3M adhesive, the first was semi-permanent, the second was easy to permanently remove) and neither lasted more than a few seconds when mounted vertically in my car on a textured plastic surface.
