ARKON BT010 Universal Windshield Mount for EZ Pass Toll Transponders, Bluetooth GPS Receivers, and Radar Detectors Review

I actually bought this mount to use with a Rexing DVR. Wanted to handle the Texas heat with ease. Excellent silicone cup, sticks well and the lever is big enough to easily detach and attach the windshield. The adjustment is great as it locks firmly in any position and grips bumps and such, no issues here. I would consider one of these if you want to put something on and take off the windshield

Ideal for DVR mounts that need to be moved between different vehicles, e.g. B. Rental car. I attached some 3M/Scotch Velcro to the flat surface of this suction cup mount as well as to the part of the DVR that faces the windshield. It works great and so far it seems to hold up at different temperatures. My previous suction cup mounts have often failed in this regard (accidentally fell off). If this thing wears out over time I won't hesitate to buy another one.

I really appreciate this product. Most windshield mounts are short-lived and seem to lose suction, especially when the windshield gets cold. First I mounted my radar detector under the plate because it seemed that the suction mechanism would block the reception of the detector's signal. It wasn't the best idea. Appears to be well built and fit for intended use. However, I bought it on the recommendation of a dashcam seller who couldn't supply a suction cup and it doesn't fit the back glass. To be honest I didn't mention that I would use it from behind. While the platform can be adjusted to different angles in the same plane, it doesn't rotate, so the curvature of the rear window points the camera in and out of the desired direction. Purchased dash cam not compatible with suction cup, it only comes with 3M tape which I didn't want to use as the option might not allow easy filming (especially with high temperatures that could damage the camera). So I bought this and just put 3M tape on the flat screen and then just used it like it had a suction cup. Now I can connect and disconnect the camera without any problems. I bought this unit to mount my Bad Elf Pro GPS while flying, but it works just as well when mounted in a car while driving. The suction cup feels really strong and I'm sure it won't give up even when negotiating big bumps. The plastic of the holder seems to be of very high quality and the holder allows for a large range of motion. It also includes a Velcro kit that allows you to attach one side to the mount and the other side to the GPS for easy on and off. Overall I'd say it's very well done…
