Perfect fit for my Garmin Nuvi40. Stays at 70mph on my bike

Easy to install. The screws are a bit short to hook the cage nuts. I put a drop of superglue on the sides of the nuts and applied the CA accelerator to it. kept the nuts deep in the indentations so it was easy to tighten the bolts

Pros
  • Nice packaging
Cons
  • Lots of stuff

Great bar mount up to 1 1/4 ".

Excellent bar mount up to 1 1/4". There are also pads for smaller handlebars (or just buy the 1" version). The only problem is that it's not very secure with my fairly heavy Garmin GPS. away from the socket and everything goes towards the street. A very simple solution is to drill a small vertical hole in the ball and socket of the installed GPS and insert a cotter pin of the appropriate size. Then a solid stone.

Pros
  • Trial for one year
Cons
  • I vaguely remember

Works great on my Kawasaki Versys 1000

Installed on my Kawasaki Versys 1000 and rode 500 miles in 2 days. No problem, works really well. I installed it in the middle of the bars and ordered a similar product to hold my phone. Both worked as advertised. Would recommend this for most bikes but Harley owners should be aware that some of these types of products can have vibration issues. This will pinch the ball, so it's probably fine, just specify when ordering.

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • No instructions

Good quality---but a little change will make better.

Garmin compatible mount fits my Suzuki well and is made of durable plastic. 4 stars because---the ball mount is a bit small and the GPS slides down as you ride and when rotated as low as possible the angle ensures it doesn't take a lot of pressure to pop it out. There is a simple solution. Limit how far it can spin, this will prevent it from drifting and help prevent it from popping out. The orange ring works great. Now I need to find something less conspicuous. You can supply a plastic wedgeโ€ฆ

Beware of Garmin GPS

I used this to mount a Garmin GPS to a motorcycle. The device mounts fairly loosely (much looser than the Garmin mount I use in my car). The device "hung" on the sphere so that it could not be read. I solved this problem by adjusting the mount so that the device "rests" on the sphere in a position where I can read it while driving. It's worth hitting even a slight nudge, however, as the device will disconnect and fall. This happened several times during the 400 km journey. If the device fallsโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Very good price
Cons
  • Fits

Great (and inexpensive) alternative mount

I bought this to mount a Garmin to my Yamaha Royal Star (1" handlebar) and was very surprised that the spacers that came with it still had to be used to make it fit (1 inch is the thickest stem you'll find on most bikes). But it sits well on the handlebars, doesn't tend to change position at all and the ball fits exactly into the Garmin socket; The mount keeps the Garmin close to the handlebars and mostly secure. The problem is that it's also well outside of my usual "travelling" field of viewโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Perfect for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Some difficulties

but it works great for me

works very well holds the handlebars securely on my mountain bike. I want the PHONE holder itself that attaches to this item to hold as well. I've found it takes a lot of effort to get the bolt-on part to really hold the ball on the Arkona. After this came loose and the phone flew away a couple of times, I resorted to Velcro that wraps completely around the top and bottom of the phone, and then around the entire bolt-on part that grips the ball on the Arkon mount. This way the velcro keepsโ€ฆ

Pros
  • works great for me
Cons
  • I really don't like it everything is fine

Too bad I haven't bought it for a long time

I was looking for bike computers to track our rides and it occurred to me that I already have a GPS navigator, why buy another one. We have a Garmin Nuvi 260, a small basic car GPS. So we did a couple of short trips over the weekend and our Garmin went with us, tucked away in a little bag that rested on my top bars. I figured there must be a better way to do this. So I went to Revain and here is the solution. Well made, this mount is made of durable plastic and includes a non-slip pad to wrapโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Inspires confidence
Cons
  • Out of fashion
