My wife loves fresh coconut water but I've always had bad experiences getting it with a regular knife or hammer. This knife is more than just a knife and it works great. The material is pretty strong and the blade is very, very sharp (I mistakenly like my hand too because it slips easily). The grip should have some extra grip resistance at the beginning and end as I found it a bit slippery when wet.

We bought it to cut lettuce and onions and meat. This knife, if it's this good, is very well balanced, very sharp. The grip is perfect for both men and women. You can put your hand on the knife with handle and blade and cut whatever you want with ease. Thanks to the size of the blade, even tomatoes are cut perfectly. I love this cleaver! I've been a professional chef for over 20 years and bought it for a quarter of a market hog. It glides through the meat like butter, has a good grip and is very well balanced. Definitely worth the price! I would recommend this to everyone. It also glides very easily over root vegetables like ginger and garlic with very little effort. Just be careful to let the blade slide a bit and not cut and strain your arm or elbow like other blades do.

Amazing product. I've been dabbling in cleavers lately and this product is definitely one of the best I've come across. The blade has a nice sharp edge right out of the box. It has a great balanced weight that is nice to hold on to. One small thing I would like to improve is where the wood handle meets the steel base of the blade. It has a small edge that feels a little rough. It's not enough to cut you or hurt you, but I wish it was level with the handle. It's also a fantastic cleaver!
