BEWARE! FIBERGLASS best spare parts

I love the look but beware this is fiberglass and it will fall EVERYWHERE. It fucking itches you so put on gloves and a robe or something because they'll stick to everything and it'll take forever to get anything out of your hands except love it

Pros
  • practical item
Cons
  • piggy bank price

Worked great to wrap my chopper pipes

worked great for wrapping my chopper tubes. Expand this into a bucket of water, make sure you're wearing examination gloves, and then wrap them around the exhaust pipe as tightly as possible. Then I stick a heat gun into the end of the tube and run it until steam comes out. As it dries, it shrinks even more. There is some smoke when you first start the bike, but that goes away quickly.

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • Definitely Bad Product

Great film for high EGT

Fits our endurance team's RX7 car. The previous film we had was fiberglass and the rotary motor baked it, cracked it and then ripped it off. We replaced it with this lava foil and drove it for 3 races and it only scratched the underside of the car a bit. It still feels the same as it did when we installed it upside down, and not the heavily baked fiberglass before. I liked it so much that I got more for my Road RX7.

Pros
  • Sturdy construction
Cons
  • Vulgarity

definitely just fiberglass tape

bought this to finish up my drain pipe when the real thing ran out and have to say cheap colored fiberglass tape that's what this product is! wrapped said pipe with his bare hands. This product has tiny sharp fibers that stick out, is not smooth at all, and the weave is at a 90 degree angle. finished the work with rubber gloves because the fibers fly in all directions. look at the photos and see for yourself. real compared to this product and the fibers protrude from the roll.

Worked perfect for short headers

I have an lt1 with blocky big short headers in a stone buggy. I've burned plug cords constantly climbing wide open hills. try this product. There was plenty of material for both headers and there was about 10ft+ left on the reel. I coated the encasement with silicone high temp coating to seal the encasement. This combo solved my heat issue and overall feels cooler under the hood. BTW I used fiberglass tape to tape the wrapper before cutting with sharp scissors. This helps prevent the packaging…

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons

First use, worked great installing a header in a Cadillac 90

This stuff has worked well for me. I put headers in my 90's body and it's almost unheard of. Due to the fact that it was a regular car and not a high performance car, I was worried about melting from heat. Well, so far this film protects everything well. A couple of my connector wires are actually touching the headers but haven't melted yet. The wrapping made inserting the head studs much more difficult. I found that I could twist the wrap back to loosen it to make room for the screws and then…

It works ! Just hope it lasts

So far a few days seems like a lot here. I have a Jeep SRT with a 6.4 installed and a Procharger, my transmission temp was up to 202 a few days ago in very similar weather. In the picture above you can see the temp is 168 with 185 being the highest I've seen have. It was on a very hot day with ambient temperatures in the mid 90's and about a 30 minute drive from home. My gear is taking longer to reach the 160-180 range and I've noticed a drop in peak temp. So far it seems like a great value. I…

Make sure you have an extra head roll, it's bigger than you think

I bought several rolls of this because I wanted to make an actual mummy costume for my grandson for his 8th birthday (he loves mommies ). I figured the duct tape would keep him cool even during the August heat during his birthday party at the park. We soaked the buns as instructed and dressed him. Well I want to tell you that it worked great! It looked pretty spooky and the kids loved it. The only downside was Chester had a pretty bad rash and itching for about a week and we couldn't tell…

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
  • No instructions
