I didn't fix the fuel cap light on my Odyssey

2008 Odyssey kept telling me to check the fuel cap at the driver information center. Bought after reading on the internet that 90% of the time the problem is in the caps. This didn't solve my problem. Can't tell if the lid was the problem, but it didn't turn off the light. For what it's worth.

Used in Odyssey 2008, looks identical to the original, no problem.

Easy installation, looks like the original. Your mileage may vary depending on the source of your problem, but in my case this fixed a PO455 code for large evaporative emission leaks on my 2008 Honda Odyssey. Note that the code was only cleared after a couple of weeks of random driving.

Easy to fit, stops the engine warning lights in conjunction with the fuel cap

Appears like an original part. The retaining pin that holds the cable in place is a nail-shaped plunger that expands as it is inserted. You can tuck the thin edge of the blade underneath to pull it out, or just pull it out all the way by pulling with pliers. In my case it didn't damage the mounting pin which was simply reinserted correctly through the cable on the new cover. Bingo! No more fuel cap check alerts or engine check alerts.

Only works for a month, check engine light is still on

I bought this gas cap for my 2010 Honda Odyssey two months ago because my check engine light came on. After I replaced the cap with this, the check engine light didn't come on for a month. But a few weeks ago the check engine light came on again and I also smell gas all the time. Heavy Duty Garbage Heap

Heavy Duty Garbage Heap seemed good enough but not worth the money. I got this to replace the original gas cap as the check engine light came on due to a loose gasket in the cap gasket, but after about a day or two the engine light came on again, I checked the cap and it was loosening and coming loose. ! I always press 3-5 clicks to make sure it's properly sealed. The incredible rubbish wouldn't recommend feeling sturdy, but if undone it means the product is seriously defective. Looks good but…
