I took the old HDMI monitor out of the box and put it in its place. The screen is on on the Asus splash screen, there is no blue line connected to the computer with the supplied HDMI cable. It's possible I caught a broken monitor because the bezel in the lower left corner where the menu buttons are next to the power button is very hot at 102.9*F. I've had LG, Samsung and Hanspree monitors and none of them had such hot menu buttons on the monitor. I haven't used it extensively for gaming, but it's perfect as a second monitor alongside a 55-inch Philips 7000 series monitor. Its height is almost the same as in High mode. I had to remove the stand to get to the VESA mount. The photo is very deceptive. No screws included. The monitor stand mount features 100mm and 75mm VESA connections. Because of this, the mount moves on the monitor. NO screws included. The bottom of the VESA mount could not be attached to the monitor. Need longer screws. Image quality is good.

I had no idea how big a 27 inch monitor actually is. I had no idea what "eye care" meant either, but the price was good and the performance is ok. So I bought it. Turns out it has built-in eye diagrams, so that's handy. Totally useless to me, but cool trick. That is very clear. All I've done so far is some budget and YouTube ads.
