This tape really works

My old sliding wood doors have trouble sealing where they slide. I felt a draft from top to bottom, a cold wind blew into my house. I have tried using sealing tape but they are difficult to apply for a good seal and keep falling apart in the summer from slipping. I don't use the door in winter and this sealing tape worked great to finally keep the cold wind from getting in. It was barely wide enough, but covered the gap just enough to seal it on both sides. The tape was purchased to attach to a wooden window frame for an air conditioner. The idea was to seal off the open area around the vent to prevent heat, insects or moisture from entering. After about 2 weeks the tape started to peel away from the window frame and the areas where the tape was placed over the taped areas to ensure a good seal. Ideal for temporary emergency repairs

This tape came in handy when we had a big storm and discovered a leak in one of our window seals. When the rain stopped for a couple of hours we were able to dry that part of the window long enough to put the tape on. While you could notice a very small amount of water coming back in when it started raining again, the tape still held it in place and held it until the end of the storm until we were able to properly seal the window on the outside.
