Works great, but no installation instructions. I figured it out, but a simple diagram for a medium-sized application (typically lawn equipment and small tractors) would be helpful.

I used this to replace the hour meter on an Ingersoll Rand 180 that was towed behind a supercharger. It fit right where the original went and the wires were exactly the same. Replacing a defective hour meter took only 3 minutes. The new counter is only 4.5 hours but it seems to be working fine.

Good enough for my 5500w generator. A little sewing and everything fits. I routed the wires from the hour meter to my 12 volt post behind the front panel. Works as it should. I only tested it for about half an hour and it seemed to be keeping time well. The original hour meter turned itself off after about 50 hours. Let's see how it will work after some execution time.

This is a good compact hour meter. To connect it, just connect the wire that is "hot" when the switch is on and the other to ground. Connectors are marked with standard electrical symbols. Fastening is simple, the mechanism is rectangular, small flanges protrude on both sides, in which holes are drilled. If I remember correctly, the #8 mounting screw fits snugly and tightly in the hole. It's working well so far, but time will tell how well it withstands vibration. 4 stars because it works well…
