🔧 Enhance Transmission Performance with ATP TF-161 Automatic Transmission Filter Kit Review

What can I say, the filter is a typical transmission filter but the gasket is a rubber gasket. I usually like rubber gaskets more than cork, but the last time I made an oil pan the rubber gasket leaked, but I'll update when I'm done.

It fits exactly like the OEM. I found that the original block can be reused and took a small risk instead of using what appeared to be cardboard block from the kit. In any case, it was part of the successful treatment of my transsexual problems ;-)

Basically I paid for the filter and lost almost a quart of gear oil. black silicone gasket. I started using the gasket that was on the gearbox. This is a quality gasket with washers to ensure it tightens evenly.

Parts as shown but if you have a solid gasket with molded washers it can be reused. The shims prevent over compression of the seal and thus prevent (reduce) leakage. I wasn't sure if my car had a factory seal or not so I went with it in case someone throws away the factory seal. The filter gasket CAN be a very tricky installation, so extreme care must be taken!
