Good replacement in cycling

These are ok. They wear out quickly and last my 250 Verados. However, you save a lot of money instead of replacing my stern protector.

Be careful with bolts

These replacement pads come with bolts which in my case at least had to be ground down to the nut. If you don't have the right tools for this, I recommend you don't buy them.

Pros
  • Excellent overall performance
Cons
  • Fits

Engine Bag Bracket

Engine Bag Bracket comes with bolts and nuts instead of rivets to prevent the bracket from opening to ensure good engine support! You have to push in to allow the nut to lay flat and allow the supports to fully open!

Pros
  • Hands Free
Cons
  • Folding Pack

I am glad to have received a replacement for my

The replacement pads are quite stiff but better than the original pads. The old pads tended to tear under heavy loads, the new pads seem to be holding up better. It is difficult to drill rivets into aluminum tumblers.

Pros
  • mirror head. Perfect for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Small things

Does not work like new without modifications.

Includes nuts and bolts to replace the original rivets. The nuts protrude past the heads of the rivets and prevent the pads from opening as far as the rivets. I had to edit part of the connector to get the device to work as before. It took me about an hour; Saved $40 by not buying a new mirror headband. I'm happy, but people with fewer tools and less time will be disappointed with this repair kit.

Pros
  • Great design
Cons
  • No machine

Repairs in 10 minutes: Cycling

Just replaced my factory rubber pads on the bottom block on the mirror headband. Simple procedure I had to cut off three other old rubber mounts with a sharp knife, one of which was already missing, and used a grocery bag to protect them from scratches until they arrived. I simply cut the aluminum rivets with scissors, used the screws provided, and reattached them to the bracket. You will need to remove the small pivot arms to access the bolt head and nut. One more thing, one screw is shorter…

Attwood Transom Saver Replacement Pads

These replacement pads are terrible. Unfortunately I couldn't give less than one star! According to other reviews they came with nuts and bolts instead of rivets like the OEM unit. The nut sticks out too far so I had to pull part of the aluminum bracket out to allow the arms to pivot as needed. To make matters worse, these replacement rubber pads have a much softer durometer than the original blocks. These pictures were taken after a ride that lasted about 5 hours in total. The pads were…
