It has a built-in 450W amplifier. With the volume at 100% and the fan on in my garage, I couldn't hear my music. As soon as I started the engine of my SUV, the noise was completely muffled. I returned it.

Rugged construction and a sound that's in a word 'awesome' and balanced in high, mid and low frequencies. I tip my hat! I use it as a portable outdoor amplification system for movie nights with a projector. The absence of an asterisk is related to the question of the declared amplification performance. It's loud and clear but can't compete with my Alpine car amp. This is based on my ears, not a meter. Again, the clarity and sound quality are amazing!

Very easy to use and great sound. We were a little confused as to where and how to install it because we have a seat in the back of our quad and installing it in the front would block our Polaris Sportsman 800's high beam. Food for thought for those who order it. if you have a similar ATV. They have a newer version with a light bar that you might want to consider. We ended up putting ours on the ATV seat. So far it's working fine and it looks like our quad has a jetpack which is even better ;)

I must say right away that these are loud, solidly made speakers. But the boss cut corners on some things that I don't think should happen. First where the plugs come out of the tube I wrapped the wires around the handlebar and they came right out of the body, I thought they were silicone sealed (photo below) and the other was cheap, made in a lighter style . The plug that fell apart on me and only had one screw and when I plugged and unplugged it just fell apart for the second week. Otherwise…

Sounds ok I've never had a speaker like this but at first I noticed it sounded like someone singing out of an empty can but I think it's just because of the design but you can get used to it and it's actually not that bad, plus I received mine, said it was used, in acceptable condition, said it had scratches and scuffs, but it came as a surprise almost like new so bought it was new $159.99 and got it for $111.00 after tax, $117 or so so definitely a killer deal so far I would really recommend…
