Great player, great sound.

As long as this record player sounds good! I got vinyl as a gift a few years ago and until now I haven't had anything to play on. I first bought a Crosley Cruiser that was on sale and was put off by the sound quality. I figured there must be something to it. I returned the Crossley and started researching. In the end I chose this table. Since then I've bought a lot of albums and I love the sound. I'm using the built-in preamp connected to my surround sound system and set to multi-stereo. I…

Looks great, sounds great, nothing more.

While looking for a new turntable I did a lot of research and settled on the AT-LPW40WN and I'm glad I did. I've looked at the U-Turn, Pro-Ject DC, Fluance RT 81, and others, and while they all look like good TTs, the deciding factor for me was a feature that maintains an accurate and consistent speed. Everyone else has commented on disc speed differences, and for me nothing is more annoying than hearing your music sound different because it's too fast or too slow. This table is beautiful in…

Much better than the Uturn Orbit or Fluance

I upgraded my LP60 to the LP60X but didn't like that the plastic case caused some resonance. It's my fault now. If I had normal speakers it wouldn't be a problem. But I'm using a 1968 KLH Series 5 with a 2-channel tube amp. So I get a lot of warmth and the bass is nice and full. That's why I chose this one. Out of the box, my only issue was that I couldn't get it to track on 2.0 like the recommendation says. It worked for me on 1.5. So I keep an eye on it. (Update: I received a call from an AT…

Not impressed with the thickness

Revain asked me to rate the thickness of this turntable (from 1 to 5 stars). I'm really not impressed with its thickness. It seems to be about the same thickness as any other turntable I've seen. It's not wafer thin or actually not damn thick. But otherwise he plays records. The built in preamp is great allowing this unit to work with my head unit which doesn't have a built in phono stage. I like that the built-in preamp can be switched off. I like that the head unit and cartridge seem to be of

Fantastic price for a nice entry-level turntable

Before I found this turntable that nobody seems to be talking about, I did a lot of research on various brands such as Audio Technica, Planar, U-Turn and Project. One of the reasons I was turned down by the last three turntables I mentioned was that some of their belt drive turntables had speed consistency issues, according to some youtube video reviews and written reviews I've read. In my lifetime I couldn't imagine spending more than $400 on something that has known problems. On the other…

The best compromise.

I'm starting this review by spending a couple of weeks looking for a suitable replacement for my old LP60 which was a great table to start so everything should have been an upgrade. My search, my requirement was that I wanted something automatic, with a built-in preamp, with a detachable housing and upgrade cables, not just black and of a quality that will not break for a moment. a few years. I had a budget of $300-400. To my dismay, there really isn't anything that fits exactly. All fully…
