I bought this because the Wagners Nyjer seeds I bought from Revain were up $5 a pack. I planted niger seed for the first time this year and we were amazed at the number of goldfinches that came to the bird feeders, usually 6 or 8 at a time. I have no golden finches coming to this meal. There is very little niger seed in the mix, so it's cheaper. I will not buy again.

We have finches around and they clean the bird feeder quick. My wife likes to watch the birds when they come to feed, but the bag doesn't last long. I know some have commented that finches in their area don't like this stuff, but the ones I live in gobble it up like greedy piglets. I wish I had a bigger bag so it will last longer.

My finches love this food! We get goldfinches by the dozen, although most of the food goes to waste. However, squirrels and doves bring "scattered" food, so we see a significant number of wild animals.
