Excellent lot. I often lose my solder, so .

Excellent solder. I lose my solder a lot so I grabbed this six pack to have on hand. Best solder I've ever used and now my work looks professional and I've actually fixed more than destroyed trying to fix.

    Pros
    • Easy install
    Cons
    • Older model

Almost impossible to remove the lid

This would be a 5 star rating if the containers were easy to open. I literally broke the tube trying to remove the cap. I ended up having to put a pry tool in the hole and pull it out, which was still very, very difficult. The solder itself is great just fix the damn lids!

    Pros
    • Great for a small home
    Cons
    • Modern

False advertising - only 10 grams of solder

This item is sold in a NET WT of 20g each, that is 20g of solder per tube. You will receive 10g of solder and a 10g tube for a GROSS WEIGHT of 20g per tube. This is neither legal nor reasonable for the buyer. This is wrong and the seller should be penalized.

    Pros
    • Comfortable
    Cons
    • Crumpled packaging

Solder performs well compared to other solders of the same (intended) composition. Recently I had no problems with the first tube. However, I have the same problem as the other commenters; The amount of solder per tube is about half the specification. Not by much considering that, although it's still comfortable and gets the job done. Just a bunch of discarded plastic and money.

    Pros
    • Excellent design
    Cons
    • Difficult to say

Solder is fine, but as many other reviewers point out, you won't get anywhere near the advertised amount. It was supposed to be six tubes of 20g (net), so I put the contents of all six tubes on an extremely accurate scientific scale. Should have gotten 120g, got 72.9g, just over half of what I paid for. I bought this because it matched the price of a large single roll and thought smaller tubes might be more convenient. I was supposed to be sending it back but it's just not worth it, it just…

    Pros
    • Sturdy finish
    Cons
    • Damaged

Not worth the best in welding and soldering

This cheap Chinese solder will destroy the soldering iron tip and leave behind black spots on the solder joints. Adhesion is bad. It is too thin for general use - 0.6 mm is not enough; Use 0.031 inch (0.75mm) solder for best results when soldering small to medium sized joints and 0.5mm for surface mount. But stay away from cheap Chinese stuff and buy well-known brands. Even if the quality costs more, it's worth it.

    Pros
    • Widely used: rosin core solder is used to repair electrical equipment such as radios, TVs, VCRs, stereos, wires, motors, circuit boards and other electronics
    Cons
    • Unsafe
