Works great.: Car electronics

Easy to use. Work wirelessly and stay connected. If you need a faster connection, consider connecting it to your phone instead of using wireless. The wireless option also works great and only takes a few seconds to connect to the iPhone. Android Auto only works in connected mode, not wireless. Note that this thing is a great option for installing Apple Carplay or Android Auto on your Android stereo. Update: After 2 months this thing stopped working. After working out all the kinks, it works like I hoped it would!

The first thing you need to do is update the app and the box through the app. I already had the app installed on my Seicane head unit but it was a very old version. After I figured out how to update both the app and the box, the connection worked correctly. There isn't much support for the app in online documentation or even forums, so it can be difficult to fix minor bugs. The connection has always worked for me, but I've never managed to program the steering wheel controls correctly. I still…

I am using an AutoKit CarPlay Wireless Dongle with a 2018 Fire Tablet 8 HD in my base 2013 Acura RDX. I cannot replace the head unit with an aftermarket head unit with CarPlay or Android Auto already installed. Software: I had no trouble installing the software on the tablet. Mediocre experience, inferior wireless hardware that often doesn't work.

I have purchased and used both this unit and the wired version from Carlinkit. If you absolutely need wireless CarPlay, get a wired one. I'm giving it three stars because some of the issues that I don't think are manufacturer-related are oversights about how Wireless CarPlay is supposed to work. However, your problems do not help.
