I just love it when these manufacturers advertise metric sizes as compatible with Imperial tubing. They claim the notch is .52" but it measures .47 because they made one end fit and made 12mm. If you want to prevent the fuel line from slipping, this product is for you. LOSER

These are not 1/4 inch notches. Loose on my hose. Easy to install but leaks like a strainer. No more trouble. Does what it should. The specs aren't exact, but you can get it working. Definitely cheaper than the $25 NAPA.

Purchased to fit 1/2" vinyl tubing to make pumping water out of the aquarium easier. The barb is too small for the pipe, the distance between the barbs and the walls of the pipe is easily 1/16 inch. The gap is too big to fix with clamps due to the hose twisting and leaking.

I received it and knew straight away it was the wrong size - too small. I measured an existing lightbulb and the bib was 3/8 inch. When I went online, the 5/16 bulb showed the race number as .37, which was the closest to 3/8" (.375). The 3/8 bulb showed .44, which I thought was too high .However, when I received the 5/16" bulb, (as you can see in the picture) it measures 5/16" (.3125) which is TOO SMALL! I bought two of these and both were smaller than advertised but with a tight clamp I was able to get them to work with my 1/4" fuel lines When I took over my boats, "choked" them under heavy loads. Basically they didn't let enough fuel through, probably because they were smaller than advertised. I have a special need for it. We have a pool cover pump that pumps rainwater out of the pool cover. However, if you simply drop the pump into a deep puddle to pump it out, an air bubble will appear underneath and it will work, but will not pump water until you suck the end of the garden hose attached to it.
