Terrible brakes - don't last long

Put them on my city and country minivan. Less than 9 months later, the mileage is less than 6,000 miles and the rotors are deformed. Terrible sound when descending from a mountain. We contacted the manufacturer and they only replace it in case of a breakdown. SAVE TIME AND MONEY THE FIRST TIME. DO NOT BUY.

Absolutely fantastic!

Very happy with this purchase. Replaced front and rear pads and rotors on our 2010 Chrysler Town & Country. Installed Thursday night, put to bed and left cool overnight. The next day you went on a 400 mile tour and the brakes almost threw you through the windshield. Braking requires very little effort on the pedals. Very satisfied!

Pros
  • Delivery was very fast
Cons
  • Low repairability

Solid Brake Set - Brake System

I'm always reluctant to buy brands I'm not familiar with but Autospecialty seemed to have good reviews from a variety of sources so I bought them. I replaced all the rotors and pads on a 2010 Grand Caravan and everything went very well. They have been up and running for a few weeks now and are working very well. I would highly recommend them for general driving.

Pros
  • Nice Build
Cons
  • Anything I can add

If I could give less than 1 star I would.

installed in January 2016. I drove it maybe 15,000 km and the front ones were already completely worn out. And when I say complete, I mean complete. The warning tab on the driver's side broke off without a squeak. They deformed after about 3-4 months and have been shaking ever since. Not impressed at all and will never buy again. They haven't been driven much at all.

  • New
Cons
  • I don't remember but there was something

You get what you paid for. Undeniably a TOTAL FAILURE in 6 months!

Not in use. Changed all 4 brakes on a Dodge Grand Caravan and after the change they worked like new. After 6 months, a rattle began to be heard. I thought I was imagining it, but the grinding kept getting worse. HOW can it be braking after only 6 months? After removing the front rider wheel I found everything - see photos, a hollowed out cutter and brake pads to COMPLETELY ZERO (pad on left is new; compared to removed pad on right - zero)! Passenger front pads are slightly larger, but still inโ€ฆ

Not real ceramic pads. High brake dust.

So it looks very good on the outside. Up to a point. I'm an ASE certified technician so I know how to change brakes. I've been doing this for years and have been a Chrysler Gold Certified Technician for 5 years. As a result, the brake pads sit very firmly on the guides. It must be ensured that the sliding plates are pushed in completely. You can use a small hammer to tap on these and over the small ledge at the base of the slider. You can also file the edges of the brake pads so they slide. Ifโ€ฆ

Don't hesitate with the time.

I will never buy this product again. If you buy them initially, spend the extra money and get a 3-year warranty. I've had them on the front of my family's van since early September 2019 after receiving them at the end of August. Front brake pads are already overlapping and it's been less than 10 months since our van has been driving maybe 30 miles every two weeks for the last 5 of those months due to COVID and going nowhere. They're not worth the money at all, especially with the 30-day orโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Not just useful for its intended purpose
Cons
  • Poorly thought out
