I screwed up 2 of them trying to get the 3M red cap off. The white side can be easily removed, while the red side is glued. But I could still use them. I just left the red 3M cover and attached the phone mount to it. It is perfectly preserved to this day!

I bought these gel pads to help the car mount stick better to my textured dashboard! And it worked! The only thing is that I had to do a little work to remove the red part of the gel pads. I resisted so much on the first try that the gel pad no longer stuck and I had to throw it away. My second try was better and I got it working on my dashboard, so hooray!

My friend bought a socket holder to attach to his car but didn't want it on the air vents. He wanted to stick it directly on the dashboard. The supplied glue wasn't strong enough, we tried many different ways. Command strips, gorilla tape, 3m tape, nothing worked until we bought this! THIS CANNOT CONTINUE! Amazing and a must buy!

These glues are very good. I tried to attach the phone holder to the car dashboard with the glue that came with it, but it didn't stick. I bought another phone holder. Same thing happened, I bought this glue and glued everything around my car: a phone holder, ghost lights for my car door, a sensor for my ghost lights that attaches to my car. I recommend this product, it works great.

It definitely seems very durable and I've used it to hold a magnetic device for my car to hold a small cellphone. Doesn't last long, but works initially. Part 2 is definitely hard to pull off and I wish there was something more permanent, but maybe it could work better if something wasn't in the heat or cold.

The standard suction cup mounts that attach to the glass are fine, but over time (usually a week or so in the Texas sun) they will loosen and fall off. So I bought another mount for my cell phone holder which turned out to be coin sized, they didn't work. So this time I'm buying them because it says they are meant to mount phone holders.
