Description of 🔒 BAKUTO: Premium Jute Rope 'RYUGA' 1/4in/24ft - Natural Color, Fine Grade Golden Jute, Professional Specifications

Standard: Approx. Diameter 6mm, Approx Length 7Meter / Raw Materials: Highest Ranking Golden Jute (Tossa Jute). Quality: Heat-treated・Double-twisted・Fuzz singed・Impurities removed・Treated ends・Wax coating pre-treated. Explanation: This is a jute hemp romp hand-made by Japanese craftsmen. (Many others are made in China, Inda, and Bangladesh) 6 different treatments have already been taken care of for this rope including heat treatment, double-twisting, fuzz singeing, impurity removal, end treatment, and wax coating. It's made using very flexible jude hemp, making it difficult for beginners to loosen, as well, and you can use it right away without treating it yourself. Small knot processing was used on the ends. Notes: Due to the differing lots of raw material and it being handmade, colors and other details may differ.

Good, Not Great - Hardware

I love the look, feel and strength of this rope. It has a very weird chemical smell that won't go away, which I don't like. It smells like petroleum or something. Maybe something in the way they handle the rope.

Pros
  • Confident
Cons

PROCESS BEFORE USE ON EQUIPMENT

Good quality jute rope but plan to process when you receive it. It has to be boiled, fried and oiled before it's really ready to eat. Quality rope but definitely not ready for immediate use.

Pros
  • Quality construction
Cons
  • Updates

Seller refuses to provide details

Workload is important information in rope work and the seller refuses to provide it. This should deter anyone thinking of using this rope in situations where damage to the load is unacceptable.

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • The list is getting long.

Good price, will try.

Upon initial inspection and observation of the tissue, it appears and feels as if the thinner portion is not fully burned and appears rough. It seems softer than raw rope and I'm sure I can finish it. I will continue to use it and the price is normal.

Pros
  • Hands-free operation
Cons
  • No instructions

I will buy more for rope

Very pretty, I bought it for Kinbaku and I have had no complaints. It's soft but not silky, the quality is impressive and as they say they take extra steps to finish the ends (the main knot) and singe the fringes. Also, some ropes have a strong odor that these don't have. I will buy more.

Pros
  • Pretty packaging
Cons
  • Some flaws

Quality usable not excellent

This rope needs further processing and conditioning. It's bouncy and not as smooth compared to the competition's ropes. If you want to work with your rope, assuming that rope can be improved, then it might be worth saving a little on the price, but I won't buy it again - I want to tie the rope, not work on it.

Pros
  • weight
Cons
  • good but not excellent

Not operational. Good for tarps and tie downs

I ordered this burlap because the reviews were mostly positive. It sounded like it was ready to go when I received it. First, the rope smells of fuel or kerosene. That smell really transfers to your hands. The rope then feels chafing. They were on my wrists for less than a minute or two and over the next few hours my wrists were scratched. There are many hairs that make claims of ready-to-use questionable. I'm sending back the 3 ropes I didn't untie and looking elsewhere as I don't want to deal

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
  • I don't really like anything it's ok
