I was hoping this would be an easy replacement for an outdated mail slot and it was! Nothing is required other than removing the old screws and slot. Done in minutes. The price may seem high, but you get a quality product.

Looked good. At first glance. And the finish matched our door knob perfectly. But canceled after 5 months. The finish is cheap varnish. Looking back, I would have spent more money for better quality. I think you get what you pay for. upset.

This is a really well made shiny beautiful postal envelope. As far as I can tell, it's solid brass; it feels heavy and hard (compared to my old brass plated cap) and the magnet doesn't stick to it. It comes in a nice box with eight screws which I believe are also brass and a matching frame style brass plate (no center valve) for the inside of the door.
