These binoculars are great

The focus and range are amazing. We bought them for our boat because you can't always see what's ashore before you dock. They are very clear and focused. I also like that they float in case they get in the water (which always happens). The yellow ones are a big plus because they're easy to find in the boat and in the water! Highly recommended! And they come with a holder/case to keep them clean and scratch-free.

  • Stylish and modern design

but with these binoculars you really do get great value for money

You usually get what you pay for but with these binoculars you really do get great value for money. In daylight, the 30mm lens produced a bright, sharp and clear image. I tested their water resistance and buoyancy by throwing them in a pool and they performed admirably. I dried them out and the image was as clear as ever. They are used on a pontoon boat and are perfect for this application.

  • Few competitors

Good inexpensive boating binoculars in a compact size

Is this the best quality? No way. Are they of great value? Damn YES! They are excellent for most marine purposes. For this review I threw them in the water to test their buoyancy and yes they float, at least enough to reach them. The light color is clearly visible. The compact size is a big plus because chances are you (like me) will use it where space is at a premium, whether that's in a boat, kayak or backpack.

Pros
  • Nice packaging
Cons
  • Expensive

She says they are perfect for work

Bought these for my daughter who goes kayaking. She says they are perfect for the job. The binoculars are lightweight and can be worn comfortably around the neck. The binoculars are waterproof and floatable, making them ideal for your work or any water sport. The magnification worked well for observing sea life while kayaking. I actually returned the larger marine binoculars because the Barska binoculars were better suited for this activity. The color makes the binoculars easy to spot when…

Problems with collimation out of the box

Bought as a gift for an avid sailor. He loved her until he looked through her and saw the double image. We tried to adjust them but concluded that they are buggy. Basically a collimation issue where the internal prisms were misaligned. It may have been damaged in transit or perhaps during production (this model is made in China, needless to say). I sent them back and a few days later they sent me a replacement. I was very surprised that the new set had the exact same problem! I took the extra…

Didn't do it for me!

I bought 3 pairs of these for my team to use sea fishing, they were cheap and supposedly waterproof. I was tired of paying 300.00 to fix my good binoculars every time they threw them off the wheelhouse roof. I have to say I was very disappointed with these binoculars, they are no better than the 20.00 binoculars that our office rents out to whale watchers. .Moreover, they are by no means waterproof! A couple were left in the wheelhouse overnight, and the next morning they were so damp you…

Looks good for the price

I was tempted by the small version but settled on a couple of these as reviewers thought the small ones fell more into the toy category. I'm glad I updated. They have a nice feel, with a subtle glass look. They may not float like corks, but that's because they seem to be made out of pretty strong material. The strap is fairly flimsy, but while it might not be the most comfortable, it feels solid, which is all I can really ask for. However, I sent back a replacement kit as the left side was…
