If you have a telescope, see the sky.

Great little telescope, shipping was fast as promised but I gave it three stars because of the instructions that came with it. They were so confusing that I went to a friendly local site, smiled sweetly and asked for help assembling them. I thought the pieces were missing, but they aren't; I'm usually good at it and love collecting things, but I'm having trouble understanding this one. Even the nice guy who helped was surprised. . Poorly made, poor quality

This is a poorly made product. Despite the negative reviews, my wife and I bought this telescope for our son because at a certain moment we embraced the positive reviews - many of the positive reviews criticized the negative reviewers for expecting too much from a telescope designed for beginner is intended. That seemed reasonable to us at the time, so we bought the Barska Starwatcher thinking we were getting a good entry-level telescope at a reasonable price. It was a big mistake. This product

Pretty good entry-level telescope for the price

I'm not an experienced telescope user or astronomer so some of the issues I had may not apply to others. * At first I was expecting aluminum tubing for the body of the telescope, but the plastic/PVC tubing isn't bad either! * Although the table tripod and its fine-tuning controls are made of plastic, they feel like metal controls and work great too! Great low budget OTA for tweaking and experimenting. Replace the diagonal and it's a great spotter for the price.

I bought this scope because it was under $60 and I needed something to tweak and experiment with rendering. I was positively surprised! On the bad side, the diagonal wasn't very good. There is a double image. I didn't care because I wasn't going to use it anyway. The seeker wasn't up to it either. It worked but was a bit difficult to adjust.
