Bean Envy Gooseneck Coffee Kettle Review

I've been using this for a few weeks now and really like it. I used to use Hario and then switched to cheaper models. I like this teapot very much. It comes with a detailed manual which I didn't find necessary but after reading it I'm glad they have it, they have some good pointers! This kettle holds the heat very well and the thermometer actually WORKS as advertised.

Follow up report. Am envy is amazing. I have previously written a review of the kettle and expressed my disappointment that the handle would melt if it was too close to the flame. They've made changes to their kettle and added a small card warning customers to use the correct flame size. I know this because they sent me a new kettle and then sent me a note to review. The perfect addition to our primer unit. I really like the design and the look of this teapot. The handle is smooth and comfortable to the touch, it pours perfectly. Even after sitting on the stove, it's never that warm. So you can't be afraid of burning your hands. The glass lid with thermometer is really good. We use this with our coffee maker all the time and it produces a very nice, smooth and even flow of water that doesn't splash anywhere. It looks great and we don't have to "tidy up" it…

I've been using this gooseneck to brew coffee for the past few weeks. It offers great spout control, and the thermometer is a useful feature (although the lid can be difficult to remove at times). However, I have used a gas stove on medium/high heat and the material doesn't seem able to handle it. I bought this along with a Bean Envy coffee maker and was a bit surprised when both concluded how small they are. Then I realized that they make coffee so rich and sophisticated that I don't need a bigger system. With this system, I make as much coffee as my husband and I can drink in the morning, and if I need to make coffee for a large company, I have a large mug and kettle to do it. This way they don't take up too much space on the counter where they live most of the time and they look good.
