I love that this collar has a little stretch, it's very soft and light so my cat doesn't mind what a big one Gain is Since she's only indoors, she's 16 and has always hated collars. But due to the need for a special diet, we bought her an automatic feeder that opens with a chip that needs to be attached to the collar. I was looking for a collar that would be safe for my 8 lb cat. My biggest concern is its weight. He had a breakable collar but given his weight I wasn't sure if he got caught he wouldn't choke himself. Online review sites have shown promise for this collar. no Absolutely not. It takes so much effort to solve that it is not safe for any cat. Of course it stretches, but it causes more problems if the cat gets stuck in the paws, jaws, shoulders, etc. for example. Don't buy this.

My cat hates collars. She hates that collar. On the other hand, I like this one. I love that you can cut it to the size you want and it doesn't have any plastic parts that can irritate cats skin. It was too wide for my miniature cat so I also trimmed it lengthwise which was easy. If your cat likes to remove the collar, this collar may not be the best option as it is very elastic. UPDATE JUNE 2020 YES! The third Beastie Collar fell apart less than a year after my last purchase. Why do I keep buying it? I do not know. Mom said the word to the clerk. I have tried 3 other collars on my cat since I got it 3 years ago. Each of them caused chills in the back, constant jerking up, and fear.
