It works! (But get a new fuse too!)

After my son's car stalled we checked for symptoms and found a faulty ignition switch. He drives a 1999 Honda Accord and now even our Honda workshop recommended that we do it ourselves. We found a good YouTube video on how to install it. My son installed it and at first we thought it didn't work. However we replaced the fuse in the ignition switch which blew when it was replaced and the machine has been running great for a few weeks now. No complaints and it probably saved us a few hundred…

Pros
  • Made to match the OE wiring harness and ignition cylinder
Cons
  • -

It was a 1998 Honda Accord Stop ticket!

Item arrived well packaged. Was EXACTLY as pictured and fitted my son's 1998 Honda Accord perfectly. He kept stopping and became dangerous. The installation took me about an hour. An hour because my screwdriver set was borrowed. I also try to get my hand into hard-to-reach places to unplug and disassemble the plastic around the handlebars. If you have an older Accord there must have been an ignition switch recall. Get one of these and it will probably solve the problem. I couldn't be happier!

Pros
  • Quality materials including corrosion resistant contacts
Cons
  • Slightly dented

This part was easy to replace myself and I used the Phillips head.

My 1999 Honda Accord EX (4 cylinder with VTEC and manual transmission) suddenly started to stall while driving. Most of the time it didn't happen when accelerating, but gradually it turned into a very dangerous problem - sometimes I couldn't start the car until I stopped. I ordered this to replace my ignition switch. I often work on my own vehicles and am quite mechanistic. This part was easy to replace by myself, it took a Phillips screwdriver, pliers and about 30 minutes. My car no longer…

Pros
  • True to original form, fit and function
Cons
  • Questionable senior purchase
