Good Basic Helmet - Helmets & Accessories

wanted a helmet that didn't look like an alien spaceship or flashy spandex shorts; it fit the bill well. Looks more like a retro 60's look to me. Fits comfortably on my 7-3/8" head. Lightweight with good ventilation. Glad I chose this one after reviewing others.

Pros
  • Molded Fusion Construction is a process developed by Bell that fuses a helmet's outer shell with a Styrofoam insert to create a more durable helmet.

I have a 50cc scooter that in my state does not require an adult rider to wear a helmet at all. Pros
  • Compliant - Meets the US CPSC safety standard for bicycle helmets for ages 5 and up.
Cons
  • Doubtful

(I gained about 10 pounds when I was going through puberty and my doctor used to scold me about it; when I was fifteen I finally cheated and told the doctor that I could lose some weight if I had a bike, to ride with friends. After all, I really lost weight.) Nobody thought about bicycle helmets at that time anyway. I…
