I give this device 5 stars because it has greatly improved the sound of my Yamaha CD-S700 CD player. However, I must add a warning and criticism. I'm not getting any younger. Over the years I've noticed that as the TV gets thinner, the TV sound degrades. This simply leaves less space for dynamic speakers. With older ears and lower quality speakers, the problem for me is hearing dialogue clearly. In movies and at sporting events, dialogue seems to mix with the background noise.
