Works great but a little stiff

My 2007 Prius sunroof almost lifts itself now. It's great, but I really have to use a lot of force to close the sunroof to compress the pillars. I put my hand on the handle in the hatch and pull it down as fast as I can and it closes and latches. If I don't push it as hard as I can, it closes but doesn't click fully. In short, these quests are too strong.

Pros
  • Lifting Legs
Cons
  • High Price

Installed in 3 minutes

My Prius hatchback struts were binding so the sunroof wouldn't raise when I opened it unless I pushed it by hand. I bought them for about a third of what the dealer was willing to charge. I was a little afraid to install them. But as it turned out, each takes about a minute. All you need is a screwdriver to pry out the old ones before installing the new ones.

Pros
  • Shocks, Struts and Suspension
Cons
  • Was damaged

Spring is too strong. Replace only one side! Never replace both sides.

I bought it and the installation was very easy. I only needed a flat head screwdriver. However, after installation their springs were too strong and the door opens too quickly and the car shakes when fully opened. To solve the problem I brought one side back to the original and voila!. Everything works perfectly. You can keep another set of old and new for later use, so don't throw away the original, including the metal braces.

Pros
  • spare parts
Cons
  • availability for exchange
